How to Fuel During a Gran Fondo?

Before the Race
You need to load up on muscle glycogen (energy reserves) and electrolytes to arrive at 100% on race day.
For this, drink between 500ml and 1500ml of Sports Drink in the 2 days leading up to the race.
During the Race
During the race, it is essential to stay hydrated to replenish lost electrolytes.
- Drink 500ml to 1 liter per hour of sports drink containing electrolytes and carbohydrates (30g per 500ml).
- Take at least 60 to 90g of carbohydrates per hour in the form of Sports Gel or Sports Bar (keep in mind that the Sports Drink bottle already contains 30g).
- In the first few hours, prioritize solid food (Sports Bar – Sports Nougat – Sports Chew) and finish with Sports Gel.
For those taking more than 90g/h: INCLUDE Ultra Drink (90g per bottle) and Ultra Gel (45g).

After the Race
1 Recovery Shake: to replenish, repair, and recover!
