To qualify for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships, riders must be aged 19 (born before 01.01.2007) or over. Age-based categories reflect the rider's age on December 31, 2025. If a rider enters a new category the following year, he or she will be adjusted accordingly in the UCI Gran Fondo World Series.

For qualification to the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships :

  • Men aged 19 to 59 and women aged 19 to 49 must complete theGran Fondo.
  • Men aged 60 and over and women aged 50 and over must take on the Medio Fondo.

Only riders without UCI points can be classified. Those with UCI points may take part, but will not be classified.

The top 25% in each category will qualify for the UCI World Championships if they meet the above criteria.
